RTÉ 2XM is on a mission, to help Ireland's students get through their exams and keep their sanity!

RTÉ 2fm presenter Ruth Scott is presenting a nightly one-hour Leaving Certificate exam preparation programme on the build up to 2012's exams on RTÉ 2XM digital radio, beginning on Monday 28 May - 15 June. This 15 part series will broadcast on weeknights from 7 - 8pm.
 
As well as advice for students and parents on dealing with exam pressure, a panel of experts will also be in studio on a regular basis to answer any questions relating to this year's syllabus, exam preparation, time management, exam questions and much more. Countdown to 606 is the essential guide to help students and parents through the exams.
 
Once the exams begin on Wednesday 6 June, the show will focus on reviewing each of that day's papers as well as offering an in-depth preview of the following day's papers. This is a three week series which will also cover important CAO advice.
 
The exam programme has developed a new one stop shop website www.rte.ie/exams which will have podcasts, notes and tips to help all students. Each evening a 2fm DJ will face the challenge of re-sitting their exams by having to answer a number of Leaving Cert questions. Ruth will also be talking to different celebrities from the world of music and entertainment, including MTV presenter Laura Whitmore, Royseven's  Paul Walsh, singer Wallis Bird and presenter Miriam O'Callaghan to ask them about their memories of the Leaving Cert throughout the series.

I am looking forward to hearing this year's exam tips and talking to various experts and teachers we will be having in studio throughout the series until 15 June. I just wish it existed when I did my Leaving cert!"
