Paddy here; myself and Ruth are really looking forward to this weekend's very special edition of the Big Busking Challenge to celebrate RTE's Big Music Week.

Set to take up the challenge are Bressie, The Kanyu Tree, Mundy and Keywest. Over two days, each of the acts will busk for 20minutes at Dundrum Town Centre and then compare who has raised the most for charity.

Keywest are currently the top busking dogs on Weekenders having previously raised €702 for charity in just 20minutes of busking. Can't see that being topped by anyone!

We've already had Fred and Coby Grant in to busk on Sunday from Dundrum to kickstart Big Music Week. Fred were amazing as ever but Coby completely blew us away. I'd seen her play live at a gig in Crawdaddy and decided we have to have her in but her performance on on air last Sunday was stunning. Her vocal is just perfect.

Bressie will kicks off proceedings this Saturday from 4pm and his song 'Good Intentions' soundtracks the new 2fm Dress Up for Barnardos TV advert, which both myself and Ruth are a part of dressed as Darth Vader and a Fairy Princess.
