Deirdre was listening to Sue-Ann talking about relationships yesterday and how she mentioned that it would be at least 3 months before she'd think about having sex with a new partner. Deirdre told Ryan that she was with her hubby for a year and were living together before they had sex. They had fooled around with each other but there was no sex. Her hubby told her he stayed with her because she didn't throw herself into bed with him first time she saw him. He had been with girls like that but was not interested because he thought if they did that with him, how many other men had they been with before him? Deirdre and her husband are married 17 years now and have 2 kids. She says that gents do exist and that she's happy that she has one.

Ryan read out a hand-written letter that was sent in to the show from a 20 year old gay woman seeking advice. She has been in a relationship with her best friend for over a year and they're very much in love. However, although our listener came out to her parents when she was a teenager, her girlfriend is still 'in the closet' and is afraid to tell her parents that she's gay. Because of this worry, she's started to feel really down and hasn't been herself in a while.

Another lady called Deirdre got in touch to say that she has given her 6 year old son €5 a week since the beginning of the year. He learned very quickly the value of money and has stopped spending it on rubbish and is now saving for a Nintendo Wii.

Is there a large arse-shaped dent in your couch? Do you have an expensive and rarely used gym membership mysteriously being deducted from your bank account every month with no obvious benefits to you? Does the sight of your body in the mirror make you want to hide under the duvet? If so, then you need the help of The Grit Doctor and her book 'Run Fat Bitch, Run!' Ryan spoke to the author Ruth Field, who says it's time to give those skinny bitches a run for their money and get fit and become an ass-kicking, get-things-done superwoman! There's only one thing left to do...RUN FAT BITCH, RUN!

Noel text the show to say that he was just in a filling station in Portlaoise and he was astonished at the amount of meat and breakfast rolls being sold today, Ash Wednesday. Noel only ate a hash brown egg sandwich on brown bread.

Janet heard the email Ryan read out from the gay girl worried about her girlfriend coming out to her parents. Janet told Ryan she is the mum of an amazing, kind hearted young woman, who at the age of 15 told her she was gay. As parents, they kind of knew anyway, but they always did and still say to all their kids (14 and 7 year old sons), that you can't help who you fall in love with and as long as you are happy, that's really all parents should care about. Janet really hopes that girl finds the courage to tell her parents - their reaction might surprise her, at least then she can just move on with her life, and be happy.
