Tubridy Thursday

Maria contacted the show and chatted to Ryan about how devastated she was to hear the news that Westlife are splitting up. Maria is from Maynooth but is now living in Doncaster. She has been a fan for years and always hoped one day she'd get to meet them. Her brother text her with the news.

Ryan chatted to Brian Heraghty from Sligo. Brian is best friends with Shane Filan from Westlife. Brian went on tour with the Westlife lads. Brian works as a teacher and was shocked to hear the news about Westlife splitting up.

Yesterday we spoke to Susan who found a fish in her back garden. Today Billy Power contacted the show to say he has a fish pond and would be happy to give Lucky the fish a good home.

Ryan chatted to Karena Graham, a model with Assets Agency in Dublin. Karena reported for work on Tuesday. It was about 9-10 degrees and there was a gale blowing with a serious wind chill factor. She was told to bring a bikini with her, either white or blue. She met the team in Stephen's Green and learnt that she was to pose with another model, Katelyn Cassidy and their job was to publicise the launch of Thomas Cook Ireland's new Far and Away programme. Karena was freezing and had to stand around for about an hour. Her boyfriend passed her and pretended he didn't know her!

Shane Mac Thomais - Resident Historian in Glasnevin Museum spoke to Ryan about a massive event happening in the RDS in Dublin this weekend called Back To Our Past. There will be over 50 bodies and companies specialising in genealogy and history all on hand to answer your questions about tracing your past.

Andrea Pappin joined Ryan in studio to take a look at some of the classic little white lies we fob kids off with just to make life a little easier for ourselves. Jodie joined the conversation and told how she used to squirt the windscreen wash on the window and tell her daughter they couldn't stop at the park because it was raining. Karen also joined the chat with a story about her Grandad who was bald and told Karen he was scalped by Indians! Karen and her sister told everybody in school!

Ryan read out a text to the show about finding butterflies in your house at this time of the year and how butterflies are associated with death. We contacted Des Fox from the Straffan Butterfly Farm in Ovidstown who explained why butterflies come to be in homes at this time of the year and also how Butterflies and Birds have a long association with death.
