NOISE CONTROL & SHAHIN BADAR INTERVIEW - THURS, SEP 30

Noise Control.jpg

Dubliners Noise Control release their debut album 'Our Life' on October 1. It features the single 'Take It', which the band recorded with Shahin Badar. Dan was a huge supporter of the track, and met up with both parties on the eve of its debut live performance.

'Our Life' is the product of more than four years work, and will no doubt be counted as one of the most impressive debut's of 2010. The five-piece are a potent live force, and have an Irish tour lined up for October and November.

STANO IN 2FM SESSION - TUESDAY, OCTOBER 28

Stano.jpg

In his first Session in a decade and a half, Stano has recorded a Session for Dan. A self-confessed 'non-musician', Stano has completely shunned historical achievements in any musical form, opting instead for a naive working method that formulates sound out of an organic framework.

Most people if they were to attempt something like this would end up with a selection of indiscriminate noise works of unbearably low quality, but Stano's intuitive grasp of sonic architecture has resulted in possibly the most individual hybrid of rock, experimental and electronic music ever to come out of Ireland...
