CRAIG WALKER IN THE 2fm SESSION - MON, DEC 14
Craig Walker arrived on the Irish music scene in the late eighties with his Dublin-based band Power of Dreams. In 2000 Craig joined the progressive electronica band, Archive and released four albums on East-West France to growing popularity and critical acclaim.
Expanding his range of artistic achievement, Craig moved on to work with various composers including Nathaniel Mechaly, Michael Nyman and Nicolas Errera. He has played with an eclectic assortment of talent including The Athens band Transistor, the French house producer Demon, Nick Muire of Bedrock, Juini Booth of The Sun Ra Arkestra, Grand Popo Football Club, and 'The Fitzcarraldo Sessions'.
'Siamese' is Craig's newly released debut solo album, which was produced by and co-written with Bardi Johansson in Reykjavik, Iceland. The album has been released to glowing reviews in France, Belgium and Switzerland. Further releases are planned and tour scheduling is under way.

Tim and Rick from Ash will be chatting to Dan on the show tonight. The band have just finished their A to Z tour of Ireland and the UK (in support of their A to Z Singles series).
The band announced last year that they would no longer be releasing albums, in their place they give us a new single every fortnight!

Hailing from Clane in County Kildare, Planet Parade have been playing in bands together since childhood. In the last 2 years they swapped instruments and changed their musical approach.They are an energetic, off-kilter/melodic/indie/ pop/rock band whose strength lies in their live performances. Their new 4 track E.P 'Ghosts To People', to be self-released in the Autumn, showcases the band's idiosyncratic sound and wide ranging musicality. They are Michael Hopkins - Vocals, guitar, Ronan Kilduff - Bass and Andrew Lloyd - Drums.
