Random Acts, Kanye's Meltdown, Chicken Lickin', Fair City's Paul and more...

It's been a busy couple of days on the show so here's a selection of stuff you might have missed that we're still talking about in the office...

KANYE'S MELTDOWN

At the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Taylor Swift won Best Female Video, beating Beyonce, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Lady Gaga and Pink. However, rapper Kanye West was not happy with the outcome.

While Taylor began to give her acceptance speech, Kanye ran up on stage, grabbed her microphone and said "Yo Taylor. I'm really happy for you. I'm gonna let you finish but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!" And then he just walked off stage, leaving behind a stunned and silenced Taylor Swift before the camera panned to the audience and landed on a very shocked Beyonce.

You can check out the video here - http://www.mtv.co.uk/events/vmas/news/152408-vmas-kanye-s-stage-invasion

Then the wonderful Beyonce, when on stage to accept her award for Best Video of the Year, invited Taylor back on stage to finish her acceptance speech. You can check that out below.

And then here's Taylor's reaction to the whole sorry saga, which she revealed during a backstage interview

But now Kanye has come out on The Jay Leno Show and apologised to Taylor... he even cried when Leno asked him what his departed mother would have thought of his actions. You can check out that interview below.

WHITNEY WITH OPRAH

Another celebrity baring her soul was Whitney Houston, back making music and looking the best she's done in years. Whitney appeared on Oprah Winfrey's chat show on Monday for the new season premiere of the most famous daytime chat show in the world and she didn't hold back, talking about her drug abuse, her tumultuous marraige to Bobby Brown and how her mother came to her rescue. Check out a snippet below.

CHICKEN LICKIN GOOD VIDEO

There's many of us that have had jobs we absolutely hated. Either the tasks we had to do or the people we worked with just drove us insane. But would you be that incensed that you would return to your former place of employoment and lick a raw chicken? Thought not, but this one man who worked for British supermarket chain Asda did just that and is now being investigated by police because of it.

The former employee was filmed licking a raw chicken and then returning it to the supermarket shelf, as well as urinating in a bin, playing cricket and football with in-store goods, throwing eggs and poking a finger in the chicken and stamping on it. He also let off a fire extinguisher and set off a fire alarm which resulted in the fire service responding to it.

His antics were recorded during a night shift at an Asda store in Preson and then the video was left anonymously at a local newspaper which they passed on to Asda. Now police are reviewing the footage and could press charges for criminal damage.

Check out the video below.

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS

An Irishman has set up a website called www.57million.net and it's a way to publish, highlight, promote, share and encourage acts of human kindness in order to create a better world. He wants people to share their stories of random acts of kindness on the website in the hope that it will inspire others.

So when you our listeners started texting us in your own examples of random acts of kindness in light of this story, we thought it a good idea to bring them to you.

Here's a few of our favourites we got in across the morning...

Last year a stranger saved my life by donating their organs the ultimate act of kindness.

I lost a parcel in nut grove. Baby was 2 weeks old and 2 yr old as well so was up 2 90. Cousin thanked me few weeks later for present. Somebody found it and put a note in stating the found it and posted it! Thanks who ever you were

My lights went while driving from Tullamore to Loughrea one night. Somebody put on their hazzards and stayed in front of me all the way, then disappeared. Clay.

Every morning i would walk through herbert park and see the same homeless man he always said good morning with a smile and never asked for anything  so just before christmas i bought him a 6 pack of cider a pack of tobacco, rizla's, a hat, gloves a turkey cranberry and stuffing sandwich and a christmas card with 20 euro in it ! He was very grateful ... After christmas he was gone hope he's ok ! Anna

I lost my passport and driving licence and about 2 weeks later i received them in the post with a note saying 'found these though you might need them back'.

Last night gave a little red headed boy with freckles who reminded me of a brunch 14c to get a bag of crisps in the garage cause he didn have enough

Every year after Xmas, any drink that is left in the house,i give it to wineos near my house in limerick, now they see my car passing i feel like i'm driving an ice cream van, they all start running after me, mike

The other day i was queuing for lunch and two young guys a few people ahead of me asked did i want to skip ahead-i'm 7 months pregnant.it made my day to know there are still some gentlemen out there!

When i was in england for the weekend i won a pound on a scratch card i gave it to a guy who was selling  the big issue, the next day i saw him and he told me he won 100 pound on another scratch card he bought with the one i gave him

I thought my car was stolen on a city street where i was sure i parked it thirty mins previously. I asked a man who was just getting into his car if if'd seen my car? If said no love - probably towed. But i knew i'd bought a ticket. He drove off and close to tears i started to call the boss and the guards. As i started to  to talk the man pulled up in front of me and asked me my reg then told me to hop in. My car was on the next street over and he had driven to check as the streets are similar. He was a dublin taxi driver. Star!

I was running on a country road the other night, and it got dark very quickly. A local taxi driver pulled up, handed me a reflective jacket &drove off. Angela

I was in dundrum and paying 4 my car and i put the ticket in went 2 get the change  and had none and this lovely lady paid 4 my parking. I asked her 2 come 2 my car and i could give it her back. And she said no she was happy 2 give it 2 me. I felt i had won the lotto and thought yes there are still lovely people in the world. From karen in wicklow.

If you're around Clonakilty this weekend then you have to check out the Clonakilty International Guitar Festival because the organisers are trying to set a new world record. On Saturday, the festival folk will attempt to break the world record for Largest Ensemble Guitar Performance. They need over 2000 people to attempt to play the same song at the same time, together on the guitar and the song in question is the well known  Óró, Sé do Bheatha 'Bhaile
