Competition
Have you ever wanted to be one of the players running up from the tunnel on All-Ireland Final day? Be the one hoisting 'Sam' above your head? Or would you just like to play a part in Ireland's most important sporting occasion?
There are many sentiments and emotions that define the GAA's greatest Sunday in September, and this is the feeling that SuperValu is seeking to capture in its latest GAA initiative, The Search for an Ode to the Third Sunday in September.
A once in a lifetime opportunity ensuring that you are not only there on All-Ireland Final day, but it is you who will help inspire the 80,000+ crowd, as your Ode is printed in the most important and collectable item of the day - the match programme.
We here at The Colm Hayes Show on 2fm have teamed up with SuperValu to bring you this great prize. We want GAA supporters to write their own version of the Ode to the Third Sunday in September.
The overall winning ode will appear in the All-Ireland match programme and feature in SuperValu's print advertising for the final. Not only that, but it will be read by Micheal O'Muircheartaigh from the big screen at half time during the All-Ireland Football Final.
Over the next six weeks, we'll be encouraging GAA supporters all over Ireland to submit their Ode to be in with a chance to win this once in a lifetime All-Ireland Final experience.
The Ode should be a maximum of 120 words or no longer than 90 seconds in length when read aloud, or to make it simple five rhyming couplets.
Once you are happy with your rhyme, submit it by logging onto www.SuperValu.ie, where you will also find the full terms and conditions for the competition. Check out www.2fm.ie as well
