Join Ballbusters this Saturday as they come live from the
European Champions Village, in Cardiff Arms Park - under the shadow of the Millennium Stadium for the build-up to the Heineken Cup Final - all with thanks to  Bluemagic.ie, the website for Leinster Rugby fans brought to you by Bank of Ireland.

We'll be talking to the fans, to some of the stars of world rugby, and we'll also have Leinster Rugby Season tickets up for grabs thanks to Bank of Ireland, so stay tuned for all the details this Saturday on 2FM, live from Cardiff between 12 and 2."

the site is a dedicated community website and is a place for fans and to interact, chat, post video and photo content and generally share their experiences and views of Leinster Rugby. The site is highly interactive, and contains exclusive footage of Leinster rugby players and the fans. In brief the site has 5 main areas:

We have just finished a mascot competition on bluemagic.ie, the winner of that will walk out with the Leinster captain at the game, if we can schedule it would you be interested in them dropping into the show for a couple of mins? Mascot is aged 8 and will be with their family.

Leinster V Toulouse HEC 2011 Semi final

Another action packed month for Extreme Ballbuster, Heather Irvine (heather@outsider.ie). It all kicked off with an abseil from the top of the Aviva Stadium at the launch of the inaugural Dublin Adventure Race which takes place on 21 May 2011 (www.dublindaresyou.com) This race will be a challenging adventure race which will use Dublin as an extreme playground! Compeitiors will have to run, cycle and kayak at various points around the city, they will also be required to abseil from the top of the Aviva Stadium.

 

The month of May is action packed with exciting events happening all over the country.

Yoga and surf weekend

6-8 May 2011

Yoga guru Rani has teamed up with the lads at TurfnSurf to offer yoga retreats with a difference. Over the course of the weekend you will have four yoga lessons, two surf lessons, two nights' accommodation, breakfasts, lunches and one dinner, all for €285. Further details at www.turfnsurf.ie

 

Connemara Adventure Challenge

31km in total, this race has three disciplines: trail/mountain running, kayaking and cycling. The course will be mega and the scenery spectacular, so now all we need is some great weather to top it off! Further details at www.gaelforceevents.com

 

Biking Blitz, Ticknock

8 May 2011

Due to popular demand, the Biking Blitz is back. The event will mark the official opening of the Ticknock trails which is a milestone occasion for the mountain biking world. The race route is 8km and there will be three categories. Baggy shorts will be one lap, the super pro will be two laps and racer heads will complete three laps. Seniors start at 12pm while juniors (U8-U16) start at 10am. Further details at www.biking.ie

 

Runamuck

14 May 2011

A cross-country running event that will take you across a very wet and mucky course. Competitors will be required to throw themselves over hay bales, wade through streams, crawl under muddy nets and swing from ropes over trenches. You will be left with mud in every nook and cranny, but it is well worth it. This event guarantees laughter from start to finish. Further details at www.runamuckchallenge.com

 

Calcutta Run

A 10km run around the Phoenix Park starting and finishing up in the Law Society at Blackhall Place. This event is perfect for the whole family as there is a whole host of things like bouncy castles to keep the kids entertained while mum and dad tuck into a well-earned BBQ while listening to the Guinness Jazz band. Run Kildare

This event offers a 10km, half marathon and full marathon. The course will take you around the flat plains of the Curragh finishing up at the racecourse where there will be a picnic and entertainment to reward you for your efforts! Further details at www.kildaremarathon.ie

 

 

Clare Burren Marathon

22 May 2011

A challenging course that has a series of steep inclines and will bring you off road at some points. This event is well worth the effort as you will be treated to a view like none other.
