Ballbusters "Open Mic" Project - Sat 27th March 2010

Hello Ballabusters

"Ballbusters are looking to tap into the incredibly large talent pool that is

the island of Ireland. We're looking for Ireland's next generation of

commentators and impressionists to email us an mp3 sample of their

skill to ballbusters@rte.ie

These samples should NOT exceed 2 minutes in length and may be

played on air at a later stage.

So if you want to be the next George Hamilton, Michael Corcoran,

Micheal O'Muircheartaigh, Ger Canning or Jimmy Magee email us an

mp3 of up to 2 minutes of commentary on any sport you want to

ballbusters@rte.ie  (mark the subject "commentary"). This search

will last a few months, so you have plenty of time to get organised.

Over the next few weeks, we'll be talking to some of Ireland's most

popular commentators to get tips and advise, and we may even play

your clip on air. The overall winner of Ballbusters Open Mic -

Commentary Section may win an opportunity to commentate live

at a relevant sporting event on Ireland biggest and award-winning

website RTE.ie

If, on the other hand, impressions are your thing....and you want to

be the next Oliver Callan, Rory Bremner, Darren Farley or Apres

Match head...whether your impressions come from the world of sport,

politics, music, cinema or entertainment, you can email us an mp3

sample - no longer than two minutes in duration - to ballbusters@rte.ie

(in this case, mark the subject "impressions").

We'll also be getting some hints and direction from some famous

impressionists....and your clip may be braodcast.

So, if you fancy yourself as a commentator or impressionist...no more

sitting on your sofa or pub-stool. Get off your ass, and get you clips

Terms and conditions do apply...The world of sport needs you!"

Good luck from Andrew , Jacqui , Diarmuid and all the Ballbusters Team and we are looking Forward to all you entries!
